However if you struggle with upload speeds (more and more important now Dropbox etc are becoming more popular) then this won't help you.Databoomallows the integration with the Peplink InControl 2 platform. In short, if you're in a bad broadband area and you can afford 2 lines this is a good way to go. This is, I believe, since downloads can be "split" but uploads cannot. Unfortunately upload speed has not improved (still only just over 1Mbit). We had 7Mbit download speed on one line and now have 13Mbit from having combined two connections. The Peplink is a great piece of kit once configured. I think you can get ADSL modems with DHCP servers but I didn't try that configuration. Then I used a Wireless Access Point (TP-Link TL-WA901ND) connected to the Peplink and each computer then connects to the TP-Link wirelessly. The set-up that did finally work was to get two Netgear DG834Gs each connected to the ADSL socket in the wall then to connec the Peplink to each of these via DHCP (i.e. Peplink customer service said they could create a special firmware for me but I'd already spent a lot of time and didn't want to spend any longer. However this (very frustratingly) did not work. In that set-up you would set the Peplink to have a PPPOE connection to each modem. In theory you need two ADSL modems, this router and a wireless access point. I thought I would write a review about this since it is not obvious what infrastructure set-up you need to get this working on ADSL. ![]() The Balance One's USB port supports more than 250 4G LTE/3G modems used by a variety of carriers worldwide.
